Technical SEO Audit

A full crawl of the site against how search engines actually read it: status codes, canonicals, indexability, duplicate paths, and what is quietly blocking the rest.

What usually goes wrong

Most sites that are not ranking are not being read the way their owner thinks they are. The crawl reaches pages nobody wanted indexed, misses ones that matter, and a handful of settings quietly cancel each other out.

You would notice

  • Pages you published months ago still are not in the index
  • Search Console reports more errors than you have pages
  • Traffic fell on a date nobody can match to a change
  • A developer says it is fine and an agency says it is not

The work

Technical SEO Audit, line by line.

Each line is work that gets done and can be checked afterwards. None of it is a promise about where you will rank — nobody can honestly make that one.

  1. 01A full crawl compared against what is in the index
  2. 02Status codes, redirect chains and pages that answer 200 but should not
  3. 03Canonical, hreflang and pagination conflicts
  4. 04robots.txt, meta robots and X-Robots-Tag read together
  5. 05A written findings list, each item with the fix and the effort

In practice

A findings list, not a score

CheckValueFinding
Indexable pages 1,284 / 1,410 126 blocked in robots.txt
Canonical conflicts 38 Two canonical tags on product pages
Redirect chains over 1 hop 0 Nothing to flatten
Pages with no internal links in 47 Reachable only from the sitemap

Illustrative example. A real audit is longer and every line names the page it came from.

Questions

Asked often enough to answer here.

How long does an audit take?

Usually a week for a site under a few thousand URLs. Bigger or messier sites take longer, and we say so before starting rather than after.

Do I get the raw crawl data?

Yes. The crawl export, the findings list and the notes are yours, and they stay useful even if you take the work elsewhere.

Will you fix what you find?

If you want us to. Plenty of clients take the findings to their own developer, which is a perfectly good outcome.
